Class Reviews:

I have recently completed Ian's 6 week Novice Adult Class.  It was the best chess instruction I have received and money well spent.  Over the six weeks Ian's clear teaching style was easy to follow and learn from; I looked forward to each session. All the information from each session was well communicated to class members after class also in notes via email so we could review and study what was presented.

I took   Ian's Novice Adult chess class for eight weeks, ending just last week. At first I felt hesitant to speak out but   once I got a feel for Ian's teaching style- I felt more and more confident to   suggest moves and puzzle solutions. Throughout each class, Ian had an analytical approach - he patiently   took the time to show us how each move would play out. I was impressed with his knowledge of the   game and experienced a few AHA moments which made it super fun for me. Although I am a beginner- by the end of the   class, I was recognizing patterns and actually thinking a few moves ahead! I will definitely sign up for another   class. Thank you, Ian! -CDR

I was a   participant in Ian Harris's RedBandit tutorial sessions from 10/9 to 11/9.   Ian's   tutorials via Zoom were very instructive.  His presentations were   friendly and informative; he was never critical or judgmental    concerning our suggestions about where to move a piece, e.g.,if I   suggested a possible move, which upon inspection was an error or blunder, he   kindly made me see that, yes,  . . .not the best move available:    let's try another one.  I have signed   up for the next Tutorials, and am looking forward to every evening at seven   p,m. to further my (slim) knowledge of the game.  To anyone   wishing to improve his or her chess skills, I recommend Ian Harris RedBandit tutorials.
